For our first holiday of the year, we had a good start, seeing 10 different black bears, some of them more than once. They ranged in colour from deep black to chocolate brown and some of them gave a great show and made for some fine photographs.
Also saw a bobcat, a coyote, some grizzly tracks. The weather was perfect for the whole trip - sunny and hot.We also caught the tail end of the famous Gerrard Trout spawning, an annual event not far from the ranch that lasts through most of May.
